'300' becomes the first blockbuster hit of 2007 when it opened last weekend.

It toppled 2006's smash hit Ice Age 2: the Meltdown which had $68M opening weekend sales the same period last year, considering that '300' has been played in just 3,103 theaters while Ice Age was released in 3,953 theaters.

I haven't watched yet the movie, but basing on its trailer, it's promising. I just wish it would not be a boring one. Well, most epic movies are boring.

According to some people who have watched it already, it has scenes that are as violent as the scenes in Mel Gibson's Apocalypto. Some noted that '300' is just like Gladiator and Troy combined into one. Others were disappointed with its ending.

Well, I still have to watch and see for myself.
